TheYMCA performance is our most crucial time to fundraise for our scholarship program. Due to the cancellation of this performance and the pandemic that surrounds us, we are asking for your support to make up for the financial loss of canceling our largest annual event. We do not want to lose the opportunity to reach students who need financial assistance. We are thankful for your support and hope that you will seriously consider joining us in our endeavor to replenish our scholarship fund so we can continue to impact lives through dance!
CDC wants to truly make dance accessible to every student we serve. That includes helping out families that need financial assistance to take off the burden of affording dance enrichment classes. All scholarships are given on a sliding scale after applications have been submitted and reviewed. Scholarships can be given towards our YMCA program, After-School programs, Adaptive classes, and even Senior/Adult classes.
"I suffer from sickle cell disease and although I try to provide my children with all they need to experience extra curricular activities I can't always afford it financially. That's where the Carolina Dance Collaborative came in. They gave us an opportunity to belong to a program that not only gave my daughter a skill that she has enjoyed and excelled in but also treats her like she is a part of the YMCA dance family. Without the help of this scholarship she would be lost. Thank you so much. " -Scholarship Program Parent
How is the Scholarship Program Funded?

Scholarship Donation Program with Kroc Church (Salvation Army Creative Arts Academy)
We are so excited to team up The Kroc Church to join their Creative Arts Academy. It is CDC's mission to reach every individual regardless of age, gender, race, income status, and ability which perfectly aligns with Joan Kroc’s vision for their community center. We have been working with their Wednesday night youth group children to explore their creativity in dance and to experience God’s love in the process. This program is made possible with generous donations from our community. To make a gift to continue this collaboration please make a donation on the Kroc Church website by clicking here– we appreciate your support!
Creative Arts Academy at the Kroc Church holds weekly creative activities for their Wednesday youth ministry, grades K-12. The program includes Dinner, Character Building Groups (life skills, family, faith, & personal development), Singing company, and Electives (guitar, piano, dance, theater, percussion, art, & pre-school music) which CDC has the privilege of teaching the dance portion.
