Testimonials from Scholarship Program Families:
"The Carolina Dance Collaborative's YMCA program has been such an uplifting experience for our girls. It was a blessing for our family to receive the financial aid as unfortunately we are unable to afford extra curricular activities due to our lack of funds. I feel extra curricular activities provide structure and balance for young children, also joy and creativity. Thank you Carolina Dance Collaborative for helping us through dance to achieve these great ingredients contributing to our family's happiness and success."

"I suffer from sickle cell disease and although I try to provide my children with all they need to experience extra curricular activities I can't always afford it financially. That's where the Carolina Dance Collaborative came in. They gave us an opportunity to belong to a program that not only gave my daughter a skill that she has enjoyed and excelled in but also treats her like she is a part of the YMCA dance family. Without the help of this scholarship she would be lost. Thank you so much. "

"The scholarship program with Carolina Dance Collaborative allowed Maya the chance, for the first time in her life, to be a normal kid. For one hour every week she was able to put on her tutu and eagerly greet her teacher with her peers without feeling like a “foster child”. Watching her twirl around in class, with her million dollar smile brought so much joy to my heart. CDC gave her a chance to not be another child in the foster system, but rather just be Maya, a sweet girl who dreamed of something so seemingly simple as a dance class."
