The safety of our staff, families, and students is our #1 priority; their health and wellbeing is of utmost importance to our organization. Carolina Dance Collaborative has adopted measures as recommended by the CDC to reduce the spread of COVID-19 where applicable. Please read our protocols below for how we are handling COVID-19, you will be asked to sign the agreement before registering for classes. Those who disregard the following will be asked to leave class.
Hand washing/hand sanitizer will be required upon entering and exiting the building. Hand sanitizer will be available at all times throughout class.
Instructors will sanitize barres and props before and after class
Student Social Distancing and Masks:
Students will have assigned spots for dancing and their things. These spots will be marked off by tape or square spots on the floor and be more than 6 feet apart.
Masks are no longer required for parents, students, nor instructors. If you are uncomfortable with our instructor not wearing a mask please reach out to them and they will be happy to do so.
Parent Wait Time During Classes and Interactions with Other Families:
Parents are now allowed to watch their children from the lobby area inside of the YMCA facilities. Drop off and pick-up outside are no longer required.
Due to lack of space in facilities such as the Verdae YMCA and Anytime Fitness, parents will be asked to watch from the window outside.
Any enrolled student or family member of a student who has symptoms or tests positive for COVID-19 must notify Carolina Dance Collaborative staff immediately to inform other exposed students. Said student will not be allowed to participate in taking classes until after he or she self quarantines and is cleared to be no longer contagious by his or her doctor. Online virtual class options will be given for these individuals enrolled, but no refunds will be given.
If either staff or student (or family) tests positive and came to class without knowing, that particular class will move to an online platform for one-two weeks (14 days from when symptoms started for that individual, or 10 days after testing positive). The timeframe of this depends on when the individual came to class as well. If the individual noticed symptoms prior to class and decided not to come then in-person option would remain.
If either the YMCA or Anytime Fitness facilities close due to an increase in COVID cases, classes will move online to a Zoom platform. Refunds will not be given and classes will finish out the session online. We do not for-see this happening again but we must follow the guidelines of the facilities that we hold classes in.
Online Waiver As a parent/guardian, you will be asked to sign this waiver upon completion of registration: By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending dance classes with the Carolina Dance Collaborative and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, or death.
